A quote by revered architect Frank Lloyd Wright inspired our visualizations for The Internationals on Meriam Ridge, contemporary, high-end homes built by McGeough Custom Homes and marketed by Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty: “No house should ever be on a hill…it should be of the hill. Hill and house should live together each the happier for the other.”
Built into a granite ledge in Lexington, Massachusetts, The Internationals, designed by Marcus Gleysteen Architects of Concord, MA, seamlessly integrate stunning architecture with the natural landscape. Properly depicting the site was especially important: the lot’s grade changes over 110 feet from front to back. The homes are built into the blue granite hillside.
McGeough builds contemporary spec homes for the luxury real estate market. Our photorealistic renderings accomplished two goals for the builder and realtor Andrea Murphy Jackson of Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty: the high-quality imagery enabled McGeough and the architects to tweak designs, if necessary; they’re also key to marketing the property. “The renderings are important for buyers,” says McGeough. “They make the home come alive and offer a perspective that’s impossible to capture in a mockup or CAD drawing.” For this project, our interior and exterior renderings, which included detailed landscaping, became the designs that McGeough built to. “They do create some buzz,” he says. “It gives buyers a taste of what’s to come.”
For Jackson, having a high-quality rendering “represents the quality of collateral I want to provide buyers,” she says. Our renderings enable potential buyers to visualize the property and discuss customization opportunities. “The renderings also stand out online, which is crucial since that’s how many buyers initiate their property searches,” says Jackson.
We’re happy to have helped picture this beautiful house on the hill.
